Just Monkey'n Around

It has already been a long winter. Though it is melting, we still have several inches of snow in our yard. That has limited our fun activities and Ella has been getting restless from being inside so much. We normally spend a lot of time outdoors. I felt it was time to redirect some of Ella's energy.
Tonight Ella, Avery and I went to Little Monkey Bizness. Of course in the rush to get out of the house I forgot the camera, so I don't have any pictures, but the girls had a great time! From the moment we got in the car they were excited. We drove through McDonald's for Happy Meals and at the window they both screamed "IT'S OUR FOOOOD!!!"
When we arrived we had to wait for a few minutes to fill out waivers and pay and I thought they would crawl up the wall they were so excited. Monkey Bizness has lots of things for them to climb, jump on, throw things into, crawl in and so much more. They also have an art room and a dress up area. Surprisingly the girls didn't want to do either of those things so they just played and they played hard!
I was very proud of Ella. She did something that she couldn't do the last time that we were there. On one of the jungle gym type structures there is a tower with a series of platforms. Each landing has a square cut out of it that the kids have to climb through and pull themselves up on to get to the next level. Last time Ella was either too short or not strong enough and could not pull herself up. This time she was a bit timid at first and needed a boost, but caught on very quickly and spent quite a lot of time in the tower. It helps that you have to climb it to get to the biggest slide. :) The slide was very smooth and fast and the girls REALLY enjoyed going down very fast on their tummies!
Overall it was a very fun experience and I was very proud of the girls for their good behavior. We will definitely be going back!
